Noahs Ark, Plymouth

A Function Room for all seasons

A Function Room for all seasons

Here at The Noah’s Ark we have a fully licensed, fully self-contained function room. It can hold up to 200 people, has its own D.J. booth and dance floor and is licensed until 0200.

If you’re looking to hold ANY type of function, birthday, anniversary, retirement, works function, family / school reunion, Christmas party or wedding reception, The Noah’s Ark is perfectly situated in Plymouth’s City Centre. It is only a short walk from most of the hotels and B & B accommodation situated on Plymouth Hoe, and the late night bars and clubs are also only a short walk away.

At the Noah’s we can cater for all of your needs ensuring that you can enjoy the event as much as the people you invite.

On Wednesday 27th August, customers and staff from the Noah’s Ark took on the Ice Bucket Challenge.

A dozen people were lined up on the pavements edge to be “doused” in freezing cold water.

Mick, Iain, Kara, Kev and Will made up the staff contingent, the rest were “pressed from the customer ranks”. Those customers not lucky enough to get picked for the challenge had the honour of pouring the water over the victims.

The local press came down to witness the event and reported it in the paper the following day.

In true Ice Bucket Challenge tradition, and before getting soaked, Mick nominated 3 Stonegate pubs to take up the challenge and raise £50 each for charity.

The pubs nominated were The Brass Monkey, The Berkeley and Flares/Reflex. Mick gave them each 72 hours to complete the challenge.

The Noah’s managed to raise £90 by taking the challenge and intends to split the money between the Motor Neurone Disease Association and MacMillan Cancer Support.

On "yer" Bike!

As part of the official Stonegate Pub Company charity event, “Britain’s Biggest Pub Tour”. We were tasked to hold a charity event on Friday 30th May. This was the day the “passport” arrived at The Noah’s.

Stonegate’s challenge is to get the passport to visit EVERY pub in the company with a view to raising £100,000 for Variety, The Children’s Charity.

As a team we decided to “cycle” to Cardiff, the next city on the tour.

We borrowed 2 exercise bikes from our neighbours The Gym Group and off we went on our 151 mile journey. We asked our customers to guess (for £2) how long it would take if we were only using one bike. 12hrs and 27 minutes later we completed the task and managed to raise £540.00 towards the cause.

The team would like to say a big thank you to all who supported them on their epic journey.
